2023
Two mates. Too many warm festival cans. Too much vodka. Not enough imagination.
Rum was growing, but in RTD it was stuck as rum and coke or a mojito. No one was heroing it properly. No one was building a modern rum brand without pirates, barrels and cliché Caribbean cosplay.
So we decided to do one thing and do it properly.
Just rum.No drinks background. No roadmap. Just kitchen trials, late nights, and the belief that rum deserved better.
2023 was messy. But it gave us our point of view.

2024
We refined the liquid and built branding that didn’t look like a rum brand.
Bright. Modern. Unexpected.
We launched RAPPL’ – rum and apple juice in a can. Simple, but untapped. Built for a generation looking for something different in a saturated RTD market.
We started building community through events, conversations and founder transparency. Not pretending we had it all figured out.
Vodka and gin had their moment.
We were betting on rum being next. -
2025
We expanded the range with RIZZL’ and BEÑO. Global flavour inspiration. London energy. Original recipes designed to break the stigma around rum.
We leaned harder into what makes us different:
• Sole focus on rum
• No recycled classics
• No heritage cosplay
• Modern branding that cuts throughRum is growing year on year. 18 to 34s are searching for new drinks.
We’re not chasing the rum boom.

Our story
Why start Mull It Over?
Because two best mates wanted better rum.
It started with Liam, who used to serve spiced rum and apple juice in bars back in Glasgow. It was his go-to. Simple, underrated, always hit. When he moved to London and introduced it to Alex and their mates at pre-drinks before a party in 2023. By the end of the day, everyone was asking for more. That’s when they realised: no one was doing rum like this.
No cans. No decent mixes. No fun... so, they made their own.
Alex came from art direction. Liam came from film. Neither of them had a clue about the alcohol industry, but they knew how to build a brand with taste.... literally and visually.
That’s how Mull It Over started. Two mates. One jug. A drink that brought people together.
Now it comes in a can. Three flavours. No fluff.
And it’s only just getting started.
